I’m Amna Malik, a maternity and family photographer based near Ampthill. Maternity photography is a special focus for me — I love helping expecting mothers feel celebrated, confident and relaxed as we capture this fleeting chapter. My approach is calm, personal and rooted in storytelling: I aim to create portraits that feel authentic, graceful and timeless, so your images become family keepsakes you’ll return to for years. My background in photography (BA Hons, University of Hertfordshire) and early experience in wedding photography taught me how to read moments and shape light to tell a story. I later trained with Dean Louise to deepen my skills and sensitivity around photographing new families, which informs how I work with pregnant clients: safety, comfort and a gentle pace are always the priority. Whether you prefer classic, elegant silhouettes or softer, more intimate images that show the bond between you and your partner, I guide each session with relaxed direction to create flattering, natural results. Sessions take place in my warm, creative studio where I focus on making you comfortable from the first hello. I’ll take time to understand your vision, discuss styling and plan a session that reflects your personality — from flowing gowns and simple, timeless looks to intimate, understated portraits that honour your bump.
