I’m Laura — a maternity specialist based in Briton Ferry (serving Port Talbot and South Wales) with a passion for creating calm, beautiful images that celebrate pregnancy and the first steps into motherhood. As the face behind Laura Carys Photography Studio, I bring professional training (First Class Honours Degree in Photographic Art), specialist newborn and maternity experience, and a multi award-winning, fully qualified practice to every session. I recommend the ideal window around 34–36 weeks, but I’m flexible to suit your needs and wellbeing. Sessions are relaxed so there’s time for styling, wardrobe changes, and moments with partners and children if you’d like them to join. I bring a creative eye to styling and a selection of props and wraps to gently enhance the imagery without overpowering the emotional connection. How I work: from your first enquiry I’ll guide you through preparation ideas, pose planning and outfit suggestions so you feel confident arriving at the studio. On the day I create a calm atmosphere with clear direction and patient encouragement — helping you feel natural and radiant. After the session I carefully edit each image to produce a cohesive gallery of maternity photos you’ll be proud to share and keep.
