I’m Kate — an award-winning maternity photographer based in the heart of Caerphilly, South Wales. As a mum of two, I know how precious pregnancy is and how quickly those expectant days pass. That’s why my focus is entirely on creating calm, beautiful maternity photography that celebrates your bump and the quiet joy of this season. My approach is simple and personal. I specialise in maternity sessions both in my cosy garden studio and out in natural locations across South Wales. Whether you prefer timeless, stripped-back images that show a bare bump or softer, lifestyle photos with partners and children, I guide every session with patience and gentle direction so you feel comfortable, confident and relaxed in front of the camera. From first contact I aim to make the experience easy and enjoyable. I’ll chat with you about what you’d like from your session and share clothing colour ideas to make the images sing. For outdoor shoots we find beautiful local spots and I’ll suggest the best times of day for soft, flattering light; for studio sessions I create a warm, homely atmosphere where you can sit, enjoy a hot drink and feel at ease while we capture natural poses and quiet moments. Safety, warmth and a baby-led pace are central to how I work — and I always prioritise how you feel during your pregnancy photoshoot. I love including partners and siblings when you wish, and I’m happy to incorporate cherished items like scan photos, tiny boots or personal props to make your images meaningful. Many families travel to my studio from Cardiff, Newport, Pontypridd and beyond — the studio is tucked in a convenient Caerphilly location and feels welcoming from the moment you arrive.
